VP 04 Carpet design Panton Verner brand Designer Carpets

The beautiful VP4 rug was designed by Verner Panton between 1959 and 1960. The carpet exemplifies the Danish designer's creative approach to the use of chromatic contrast and geometrical illusions.

The VP4 carpet, entirely hand-made in pure virgin wool is available in custom sizes and shapes.

Verner Panton (1926-1998) is one of the most prominent Scandinavian designers of the 20th century. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen he worked with Arne Jacobsen and other leading scandinavian designers.

Thanks to his original approach to the use of materials and colors Panton's creations have become cult objects. The Verner Panton rugs, like the VP4 carpet derive their beauty from the skillful use of geometry and colors and add a new dimension to the environment they are placed in.
